2040: The future

Today is April 15, 2040 and I'm a freshman in college. I wake up and my alarm tells me it's raining outside. I go to my closet and based on the weather, it picks out my outfit for me - including an umbrella. When I turn on my T.V., VH1 is blaring all of the music videos I have chosen for it to play for me. After I'm all dressed and ready to go, I go out to my kitchen and my stove has already prepared me my eggs and toast; it's what I've been craving all morning. I hop into my car that runs on algae, and I tell it to take me to class. Everyone's laptop's are one-sided (think iPad), and automatically writes down everything our professor says. After all of my classes, I get back into my car and it takes me back to my apartment. My dinner is waiting for me when I get back- a nice juicy steak and a baked potato- still hot. Once I'm ready for bed, I tell my alarm what time I want to get up, it tells me goodnight and gives me a forecast for tomorrows weather.

  1. Wow I really enjoyed reading your blog! Very interesting, makes me wonder what the future will really be like! Hopefully it will involve cooking for us! I would also find it very useful for computers to know what we are thinking and write down what we tell it to without physically writing.

  2. I really like how your alarm clock tells you how the weather is outside and how it tells you goodnight. If only things really were like that now! The idea of cars running on algae is a good idea and there's plenty of it.I really like how you tell the car where to take you.

  3. Your future sounds pretty neat. I think it would be really cool if your alarm clock automatically tells you the weather and then your closet picks out your outfit to go with the weather. Having cars run on algae sounds like a good idea and would probably be cheaper. Hopefully in thirty years we won't be using gasoline for our cars and whatever we do use as fuel will be much cheaper. I can't wait to see what our future has in store for us, it will be extremely interesting!
